I am a mother, an IT consultant, and a photography hobbyist whose favorite subjects are food, landscapes, candid moments, and her daughter. I started this blog as a means of documenting anything that I've tried my hand (mostly palate) at. I grew up in the province reading a lot of books (and very strict parents) which whetted my appetite to experience what this world has to offer. The lack of stimulation in a laid back town never did match the adventures in the books I've read.
Now that I am married, working, and with a daughter, I find that I have more than enough things hounding me in a day. Though I still document what I can with the time that I have, I can feel that the hunger I felt a decade ago has already mellowed a bit. If budget and time permits, I try to squeeze in at least one international travel a year (that's with my husband and daughter in tow). I am dreaming of the day when I can actually travel again just with my husband (though that already happened) or with friends. What you can expect on a regular basis will be the restaurant/food posts since my family likes to eat out (and being a working mom, I don't usually have the time to cook). You can get them via the recently started Monday Bites.
Everything that you see and read here at Hungry for the World is my own original work (unless stated otherwise). I don't use other's works without proper credit and I'd appreciate you doing the same. Most likely, the unsung and uncredited photographer in this website would be my husband. Of course, post-processing credit still goes to me.
I love hearing from you, whether negative (there's always room for improvement) or positive. Do drop me a line at rye@hungryfortheworld.com or comment away.
It used to be just me, and now that I have a family, still documenting my hunger for eats, destinations, experiences, and adventures - with a toddler in tow
