Soledad Suites, Bohol
Rather than proceed to Panglao and stay there for the evening, I decided to find a place to stay in Tagbilaran City since, first, it's cheaper, and second, I've already decided to go back to Cebu the very next day. Nong Jun, the driver/tour guide/photographer, was very accommodating in helping me find a place to stay in Tagbilaran. He patiently brought me to the different inns and pension houses in the area (taking my budget into consideration), until we got to Soledad Suites where I decided to stay for the night.
Soledad Suites is boutique hotel situated right at the heart of Tagbilaran City. For only PhP 1,400 a night (they were on a promo and on top of that, they also gave me a discount since I was by myself), I had the Superior Room with complimentary breakfast and round trip transfer from and to the sea/airport. I really felt like I needed a comfortable place to stay for the night after that "adventure" I put myself through.
There is nothing bad I could say about Soledad Suites. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bath is already hot and cold, it is more than what I expected from a boutique hotel in Bohol actually. They have a very helpful and courteous staff. One even went back and forth between Dauis, a municipality in Bohol, and Tagbilaran City to purchase several boxes of Chokolate de Bohol for me when I inquired where I could get it at factory price. Soleda Suites also has a business center at the lobby and guests can make use of this for free. It certainly did not escape me that they also provided balde and tabo in their bathrooms - so Pinoy! Hehe! I have never been in a hotel before where balde and tabo, staples in every Pinoy bathroom is actually provided. What fun! It did come in handy for me since I had to do some laundry. Haha! The next day, I called the lobby for my complimentary breakfast and they brought it up to my room. I checked out at 10:30 in the morning to catch the 11:00 a.m. ferry back to Cebu. They had a van ready for me and I was already in the seaport less than 5 minutes later. All in all, excellent service I'd say. :)
