Best Ramen in Town

H and I have eaten in a number of Japanese restaurants in Metro Manila, Makati to be exact but by far, this the best Ramen I've had (and H concurs) bar none under PhP 500.

Seafood Ramen from guess where?

Ramen Bar!

I was so glad to have tried out this restaurant in Piazza, McKinley Hill. We decided to try this place one Friday evening.
ramen bar menu
A minimalist menu and interior. Not much on the menu except for small plates (choice of appetizers/for merienda), one choice of rice topping, and 5 (!) choices of ramen. Now you wonder where that Ramen Bar name came from!

It's not included in the menu but what I had above is the Seafood Ramen. It had squid, shrimp, can't remember if it included fish but what sets this ramen apart is the broth. Okay, I don't have the necessary vocabulary to describe the broth as it deserves (so it'd be hard for you to take my word for it) but take my word nonetheless - best ramen in town! At least you have to give it a try and let me know the verdict!

Note: Specifically order this without the chili specially if you're not a fan of spicy food to begin with. I normally am ok with having chili in my dish however, I couldn't even finish off half the bowl when the staff forgot to exclude the chili on my second visit. I initially thought the dish was just too hot but I found the chili when I was halfway thru and just had to have the ramen replaced.

My husband's RBS #1. He claims the broth is the same with the Seafood Ramen. What differs is just the meat used.

siopao
Kakuni Buns with really soft, nearly melt in your mouth pork belly with that salty sweet sauce. And the buns are really soft as well. One bite and the whole thing sort of glides in your mouth. Not cheap at PhP 180.00 for a serving but so worth it! I'm drooling just thinking of it!

ice cream tempura
The only dessert on the menu: ice cream tempura. Another love! It's just vanilla ice cream really, fried and then served with a drizzling of choco syrup with a choco wafer stick. A great way to end the meal!

There might be not a lot of options on the menu but Ramen Bar definitely knows what it's doing. There's no hit and miss here, so far. I know where to go when I want a good bowl of Ramen. Do you?

ramen bar, piazza
Ramen Bar is sandwiched between Stackers Burger and Kuse at the ground floor of Piazza Mall, McKinley Hill, Taguig.
