What's Cute and Furry and Distinctly Australia?

We finally had the chance to meet Australia's koala up close at the Taronga zoo and boy were they cute!


Unfortunately, touching these creatures was off-limits and so we contented ourselves by looking, standing close to it, smelling it (I actually didn't smell anything except for the eucalyptus leaves), asking the caretakers questions, and having our picture taken with it.



Each koala encounter is AUD 20.00 for a group of 4 good for about 5 minutes with a picture souvenir thrown in. I'd say it was worth it. :)
