Valrhona Souffle
While on the topic of desserts, have you tried this valrhona souffle served with vanilla ice cream and melted choco/choco sauce?
Guess where?
Yes, where we had Euna's baptismal reception. And no, I haven't written a post on that one.
Hubby and I waited more than 15 minutes for the souffle to be served. It came out of the kitchen door served in a tray looking larger than life. Okay, I'm exaggerating. I only mean that I did not expect it to be served with vanilla ice cream and melted choco/choco sauce (it was my husband who ordered it). For the souffle, it was indeed crisp on the outside and meltingly moist and HOT (so be careful!) on the inside. As for the valrhona chocolate taste, I cannot be a judge of that as I've never tasted valrhona chocolate before. I am very much a fan of Bizu and their cakes but this one just didn't do it for me. Too chocolatey perhaps (as if that is a bad thing)? Or the lack of substance?
Or maybe because I ordered this thick hot choco before hand which was creamy rather than chocolatey?
How do they retain the dark color btw? Dark cream?
This brings to mind the warm brownie cup I ordered from La Marea, Cebu. Tasted just about the same for a fraction of Bizu's price.
You be the judge and let me know what you think.
