Gong Cha Winter Melon Tea

One of those days at the office when my new teammates were hankering for some milk tea. Turned out the group's preference was Gong Cha, another milk tea company with the nearest branch at Glorietta, Makati. I thought I might as well order in and finally give Gong Cha a try.

It took the delivery guy almost an hour to deliver the milk teas! I don't know if it was because of the Gong Cha crew themselves or the 3rd party delivery group used. Regardless, when my winter melon arrived, the tapioca was already hard, not the slippery, easy to sink my teeth into that I've come to expect. As for the milk tea, it was way too sweet for my liking but that can easily be changed. I suppose it really was the texture of the tapioca that turned me off. I've actually had Chatime overnight in the ref and the texture of the day-old Chatime tapioca was still better than the texture of that delivered Gong Cha to the office. The large winter melon tea set me back PhP 125 + delivery charge.
